डी.एस.बी के गलियारों से by स्मिता कर्नाटक

DSB ke Garyalo se By Smita karnatac is a book not only about Dsb campus (Kumaon University) but also Author's days in Nainital.She potrayed the Nainital that was a hilly station once. This book took me back to those old Nainital days of hers,which I never got a chance to experience, when winters used to be snowy, traffic used to be clear and the town was less populated. 

The college days of her were fascinating. It looks like her 89' batch was one of the most popular batch in DSB history as the first Vice president of Dsb was from her batch and India's first Blogger Ashok Pande(The author of Lapoojhanna/लपूझन्ना and Jitni Mitti Utna Sona) was there too. 

Nishaash or निशाश is a Kumaoni word for separation from a loved One. The books ends with nishaash which was a bit sad for both the reader and (Presumably) The author.

The memoir is well written in Hindi with Kumaoni Touch. To Summarise this book in a single word, I'll use one Beautiful Word from Kumaoni - Phama/ फाम which means remembrance.

A must read.
