Probably Not a Spoiler, But...
I hope when the awards for Steve McFadden's work over Nigel's storyline are (rightly) being handed out, a few go Karen Henthorn's way too. I just caught up with Nigel's last episode last night, and Karen's acting absolutely destroyed me.
Having lost both of my parents similarly over the years, Karen made me feel again the helplessness, the frustration, the guilt of wanting someone to stay when you know it's best that they go, and the sheer exhaustion the whole thing wreaks on you. An absolutely phenomenal performance.
