For our 3rd retrieval, we did a double trigger with Hcg and got 28 mature eggs (!) with 21 fertilized. Things had finally been looking up (our first two retrievals had much lower numbers as there was a problem with my eggs maturing). Today we found out only 4 of the 21 made it to blastocyst, which leaves me to assume we’ll be lucky to have 1-2 euploids. I feel so discouraged. I told my RE I want to jump into another retrieval (we’re trying to bank embryos and be done retrieving as I’m 37). Anyone deal with something similar? What did you do to optimize egg and sperm quality?
To note, we have unexplained infertility. We’ve had one successful FET and one failed. My husbands morphology is 2% so a little low but otherwise average sperm. We’ve done ICSI for every retrieval.
