I’ve been a lurker here but never posted. I see a lot of negativity about teaching and I just want to say in my experience it’s not all bad. My first 2 years I was in an inner city school. I was teaching 3rd grade and rarely received support and basically had to just figure it out. A year later I was moved to 5th grade and it was the same old story. No support, admin blaming teachers for student behavior, etc. I questioned whether I even wanted to teach anymore. I signed a contract for a 3rd year and luckily last July I got an offer in another district. I was told it was unlikely I would be able to break the contract by some miracle the HR department in my new district found a way. I just got renewed at the school I’m at now and I’m so grateful to be here. Admin has been great and supportive and students are held accountable for their behavior. All in all I can say it really does depend what school you’re at and what type of admin you have.

I posted here before but just wanted to give an update after 3 months. I had a 6mm polyp on my ultrasound. I was having pain on both sides under my ribcage for weeks. Surgeon gave me an option to monitor it with an ultrasound every 6 months or get it removed. I opted to get it removed.

The first 2-4 days after surgery were a little rough but I recovered pretty quick. The pain I was having immediately went away after a few days post op. I started eating any kind of food on day 4. The only thing that caused some stomach pain was greasy food which I then stayed away from for another 1-2 weeks. Around the 3 week mark I could eat any and everything. I have occasional gas after eating certain foods but nothing crazy. Most of the time I don’t even remember I had the gallbladder removed. I hope everyone here has a good experience.
