First trip, first silver :)

Today I went on my first real metal detecting trip after receiving a NoktaFindXpro for my birthday. A few days ago I did spend an hour or two testing it in my garden but I only received my first permission to hunt somewhere else today.

I found a bunch of trash but also stumbled upon this amazing find after only 30 minutes of searching. Safe to say I can't wait to head out again :)

It seems to be a Denier, a small silver coin minted in 1236 - 1261, Brussels.

Very happy to find this on my first trip, I expected many months of searching to find something like this.

Anything I should pay attention to to conserve it?

I did come across a lot of 'beeps' without a VDI, just trash. I'm aware of my machine's limitations but I literally had to dig a hole every 2 steps. Maybe I have to turn down the sensitivity a bit but I'm afraid to miss another coin like this. So... Just dig everything, I guess?
