P365X Macro barrel question

I have a new 365X Macro—I have put about 650 rounds through it so far. After each day at the range I’ve been field stripping it and cleaning it carefully…mostly to improve and learn how to care for a gun properly. When I first got the gun and started practicing field stripping, the barrel came out so easily. I’d remove the spring, lift and push the barrel forward, and then easily remove it as I lifted it.

But now when I go to disassemble, the barrel juuuuust barely gets caught and doesn’t “clear” the upper unless I jiggle it, shake it, monkey with it a lot. Nothing seems bent or out of position. It eventually does come out, but it’s not consistent or easy to do anymore. I asked Google Gemini and it said that because Sig has extremely tight manufacturing tolerances, this happens sometimes.

I just want to see if you all have any thoughts or advice or if that’s expected after shooting a little bit with it and breaking things in? I just don’t want to do any damage to it. Thank you for your wisdom

Hi—I am awaiting receipt of my first handgun — an Sig P365X Macro — and I have a few questions for the experienced gun owners on this group.

I am reading a lot of information about types of ammunition, and I want to use the most appropriate (least damaging to the gun) bullets.  My main question is about using FMJ vs TMJ, and from what company?  I plan to buy and run through a large quantity of practice ammo as I learn the gun, but I read that FMJ can damage the interior of the barrel due to the integrated compensator on this pistol, and to try to use only total metal jacket.

Also, I am wondering about using +P versus regular loads.  Some say that type ammo will punish the gun unnecessarily but others think it’s best for use with the integrated compensator.

Final question is about grain/weight.  It sounds like some people use 115 at the range but keep 124 for home defense.  Some others say to only practice with what you plan to use in real life for defensive carry purposes.

Each article I read opened up more questions for this new rabbit hole.  I am having so much fun learning all of this, but I was hoping for some folks to chime in with real life experience using this particular gun.

TL;DR—what ammunition should I use to get a good feel for the P365X Macro without breaking the bank, or breaking the gun?  Thank you in advance for your advice.
