After some many grueling hours I am finally somewhat satisfied with my Flagship for my current playthrough (except indoor decorating...)
The main idea was to have a large, all-rounder which also fits most named companions (to have a "lived-in" feeling, special thanks to "useful Mess Halls mod), while still being heavily armed and retaining mobility
Style wise, i was leaning into sleek militaristic/frigate/destroyer type ship, using mostly ASC Deimos for outer hull decorations (see below "lore" for why). Otherwise one very important thing was that i wanted a sortof "centre" walkway and NO LADDERS. (thanks new nova double deckers and pdy mod).
Homebrewed lore as to why my measly lvl 25 char has such a "behemoth" of a vessel:
While on a survey mission in the outer fringes of the galaxy, Captain Jesse Cole of the Frontier discovered an abandoned staryard hidden in an asteroid belt of a gas giant. After finding the logs of this starbase, it became clear that this automated staryard was part of a secret UC shipbuilding program lead by General Indira Rastogi. This so-called "Operation Venator" was launched in 2310, after the crippling Battle of Cassiopeia to create a new UC navy flagship capable of eradicating whole freestar navy squadron on its own. The UC did though underestimate the resources, time and cost this new project would require, and with the War ending just one year after the launch of the project, the Venator Platform was only two thirds completed. In the aftermath of the armistice knowledge of the project was lost due to the execution of Gen. Indira Rastogi.
Stumbling upon this semi-finished starship, Cpt. Cole decided to use his network of resource outposts, long-hauling experience, the blueprints found on the staryard and his starship knowledge to slowly finish what the UC couldn't. Being born a freestar citizen he thought it be a fitting retribution to have the UC's pride be captained by a Freestar Trucker. (Also he desperately needed an upgrade to the Frontier).

In reality i spent twelve hours farming credits by exploring, surveying and wrecking spacers to afford building this thing... cost me roughly 950,000 credits.
Pro's of the ship
- I think it looks really cool
- It feels very lived in, already with 12 companions (need to level up fleet command)
- Big showrooms to display all the unique stuff
- Enough beds for crew
- NO LADDERS (central "Pathway" with stairs came out quite nice as well)
Con's of the ship
- It lags my PC a bit when opening shipbuilder/ship tab
- Although it is floating, i still experience "some" clipping with a few landing locations, most obvious so far is the engine clipping into some radar mast on New Atlantis.
- Sometimes the third person flight the camera location is glitched forward off center, but i like flying first person anyways
- it takes a while to find specific companions sometimes... and my character has low oxygen so i run out of breath running around in the ship looking...
If anyone of you would like to check out the interior, or would like to see the next ship i build i sometimes(rarely) stream on twitch under the same name as on reddit.
