The master doesnt take things seriously sometimes... (comic)

Alt title - (R7??) Master calms down Aya

only the master can calm a chibi from a meltdown by giving them noogies

i always find it kinda funny that you can just pinch and mess around with the characters at all times regardless if theyre in the middle of an extremely serious monologue or something else. an apostle might be close to melting down and you can just bonk them and theyd go yeowch

i didn't want to spoil any existing stories, so i just made up one where aya is evil now for some reason. will i ever explore this storyline more? probably not but who knows

i still have no idea what the elves went through

this is one big ramble, so it might not be as sensical as i want it to be, but im confused, and idk what elves are like.

there's alot of conflicting stories i got after reading through more elf lore.

what seems to be consistent is that after discovering the golden disk on voyager they went to earth, attacked America, failed, and got punished for it.

what im not sure is the punishment, or to who they work for. and as someone that enjoys making what basically is just trickcal fanfic comics, i would like to know every nook and cranny of lore (as a Global player anyways) to really get my hands deep in it and mess it around.

for example, according to rohne, they seem to work a 9 to 5, of what i can only assume is factory work in a tech factory like AMD or somethin, which is tiring for a lot of people, probably considered as medieval torture for futuristic elves.

They seem to get some rights, they seem to have a decent lunch, they get a break, they only work for 5 days and not for the entire week. it seems to just be work, but maybe the elves, who usually live in comfort, never really felt hard work before until now?

but also according to rohne, amelia, and some other dialog lines, the work was more akin to slave labor/sweatshops, with beds on their offices, constant overtimes, lack of basic rights, and their own underground concentration camps to do all things techy for decades, according to elena. though this clashes with the "elf diary" video, where they escaped after 6 months of grueling work.

i am aware that this whole thing is based on an old korean meme about aliens being tortured for the advancements of computers, but they are war criminals technically.

https://preview.redd.it/0xk15naf050h1.png?width=399&format=png&auto=webp&s=72c1fb47c6c321cdb7874ad9b515418e6e6830c1

which makes sense, this is punishment, not a job application. so the fact that theres more evidence for it being actual torment instead of just regular work. so why did rohne mention it being a regular old 9 to 5? i dont think the average 9 to 5 would be violent, unless its a prison thing, i guess? but ok, they get thrown into labor camps, tortured, and it seems to just be for regular old tech companies.

with how vile they talk about santa/IT companies, and how much they insist that the work enviroment is horrid, would they even bother giving elves tonkatsu? maybe it is considered as cheap food in east asia, but in the hellhole that is southeast asia anyways, that is some fancy dining right there.

maybe rohnes pleasant memory of a tonkatsu wasn't a pleasant lunch before returning back to the daily grind, and more a brief respite before torment begins once again?

but then they throw in santa in, which just makes me even more confused, because it implies that despite it being the united states that defeated the elves, they somehow get into the north pole and make shit for santa instead?

https://preview.redd.it/dxo2ihff150h1.png?width=650&format=png&auto=webp&s=e7831337f179c0e0108d4f7249f748846a2f005c

this would explain the whole "sewing buttons" things, and i guess in the assumption that santa makes everything and not just toys, the tech stuff would make sense, now we know that its not america, its the north pole. but then this would clash with the "elf diary" video, where there is no mention of santa anywhere, just a vague implication that they worked for AMD.

Santa however seems to give elves the strongest emotional reaction. so i assume this lore would be the most accurate... but rohne confuses me.

if the thought of santa alone can cause them to lose it, how in the name of the big fuckass tree in elias did rohne not even recognize selene trying to dress her up as santa? i'd assume she would recognize "red clothes, weird red hat, and big bulbous bag" as basically santa and start losing it herself without needing to look at the mirror, or even the sight of bigwood as a christmas tree alone. but she just doesn't care?

she either blocked it out of her mind completely to never think about it, doesn't remember santa (either as a coping mechanic, or genuinely forgot), or is really stupid

with all of this, i have some "theories", atleast with the information i have:

Theory 1: They did work in a horrible place owned by santa, but given some basic amenities, and they have a 9 to 5 schedule (still prisoned, but theyre allowed to wonder around the courtyard or somethin ig)

Maybe they did work in hell, maybe it was actually straight torture, but they were given the bare minimum rights so that they can just barely exist, with work lunches, and a schedule that allowed them some kind of break from monotonous work.

whether they are allowed to walk outside their facilities or are locked up inside forever im still confused, but for this one, i'd assume they'd have the basic right to just walk outside for fresh air

Theory 2: Defeat was so traumatizing, that it scrambled up their minds and made them exaggerate things

if you pride yourself as a planet conquering race, with futuristic powerful war weaponry, and then out of nowhere you got destroyed by some aliens with regular old guns, you'd probably start losing it. us? lost to a bunch of guns? no way in hell. no, that's impossible. right? right. no, but then why did we lose? no that's not right. are we the greatest race after all? we have to be, right? we must be. please, its all i have.

when you're in a messed up state of mind, even the simplest of jobs can feel like torture

Theory 3: They're just exaggerating

propaganda is great. and what better propaganda is there in a new planet than to say "we were imprisoned by this disgusting horrible red coated worker, who tormented us until we are close to death. but did we fall? no, we escaped, all because of your glorious leader!"

maybe they just had a regular old 9 to 5, but they're pushing it out of shock and as propaganda? or maybe work was awful, but not as chronic and severe as they insist it was? this one wouldn't really make sense since they get extreme PTSD over it. maybe they're exaggerating because human labor is basically elf torture?

its like telling someone scrawny to push a giant heavy weight when you're a gym freak. it would be easy for you, but nigh impossible for the scrawny person. maybe its the same with elves?

Theory 4: They're not exaggerating

maybe humans really are cruel violent creatures with no heart. perhaps after crashing onto earth, the elves are tormented so much over tech work and making toys that it became traumatic, they do get meltdowns over the thought of it after all, the sight of santa alone can break them...

Theory 5: they just retcon everything and replace it with santa

maybe they used to have a different lore about the invasion of earth, before they decided to just go "eh fuck it, they're elves, throw in santa it'll be funny", and retcon their previous lore to replace it with "saint nick tortures his elves" like a lot of santa - elf centric media, but who knows, im not mr. john "trickal re:vive" epid now am i

all in all, elves make me confused, and i dont know how they got here. maybe itll get explained more in KR, maybe the fact that their backstory is vague is the entire point, maybe all of this is just one big joke, and it never really mattered to begin with. either way, elves are weird, and elena is silly

all of this talk about elves escaping earth makes me wonder... elena probably couldn't save every elf that crashed on earth.

would there still be elves there in earth?

>WARNING: CONTAINS FLASHING LIGHTS

Rohne was caught dilly dallying yet again...

i had an idea for this weird "edit" for a while now ever since it popped up in my shuffle when i drive, that vaguely looks like some soulwax song visuals, i then realized that i have free will and decided to just, do that

Edited entirely on davinci resolve

the song is the soulwax remix for marie davidson's "work it"

Alt title - (R???) Selene does her thing

Wow, the previous comic was sad, have this less sad one as a palette cleanser

i havent messed around with selene's apostle stories and seen all of her banquet hall dialog, so im not exactly sure her exact personality other than "she likes to annoy people and prank them that way"

sorry for it being short, ive been busy with so many things today and ive also been very fatigued as of late, probably because i have too much caffeine in my system, that i got burnt out drawing custom panels instead of doing my usual copy paste job for these comics

I also notice that I forgot to draw Ui's braids, so just pretend theyre conveniently hidden behind her head and its all perspectives fault

Alt title - (R903) Amelia breaks

Sequel to this comic i made, which in of itself is a pseudosequel to this comic

ive had this plot point open and unfinished for quite a bit, so in my state of insomnia, i decided to finish up this plot point. is the R903 sideplot finished? probably not, but who knows, depends on my mood ig

i wanted the whole thing to be longer, but fights are hard to draw, and i havent slept, so i decided to just abridge everything
