Why do people job hop and how often?

I’m a recent grad and I’ve been working at a company for about 4 months now. I’ve seen that it’s common to see that a lot of people job hop through online videos but also in person as well. Is it really an effective strategy and how often is it ideal to do it?

I just moved into a new house and I’ve been seeing a lot of silver fish in my bathroom especially after I take a shower. I tried to spray ortho home defense all over the baseboards of my bathroom but they still come up through sink drains and also somewhere to end up on the floor. Is there another method I could try to get rid of them?

I was looking to upgrade from my almost decade old 1080p tn panel and I saw a lot of hype about this monitor. One thing I’ve noticed is that there is ghosting, does anyone know a fix to this? Perhaps sharing their windows and monitor settings? A lot of them just say to set overdrive to fast or faster but I still notice the issue.

I’m currently working with Java daily and some cpp mixed in but very rarely do I program in cpp since it’s part of our code base that isn’t normally touched. I’ve only been working at this position for 4 months now but am I pigeon holing myself into only Java positions in the future? I’ve been looking at job postings and a lot of them are specially looking for experience in specific languages. Any tips/ advice if that’s the case?
