Our new substrate for isopods and springtails from Mesopods. Carefully designed to promote health, and overall well being. We enclose a 11 inch x 14 inch bag. This amount is usually enough for a 6.5 quart bin. Rest assured - this substrate is ideal for all isopod species.

What’s inside?

• Enriched Reptile Soil
• Spragham Moss
• Hardwood
• Fir Bark for Reptiles
• Charcoal
• Calcium Carbonate
• Crushed Leaf Litter

Instructions:

1. In purified water, soak the spragham moss and hardwood pellets until soft (usually about 10 minutes) and drain.
2. Mix into the rest of the pre-made mixture, along with the provided “crushed” leaf litter.
3. Add 3-4 inches of your mixed substrate to your isopod and springtail enclosure.

Here is the answer to the question: how do I make a vetilation hole for my isopod bins? You will need a drill and a hole saw drill bit. Choose your size that aligns with your preferred vent. Be careful while drilling! Isopodyssey and I, Mesopods, traded isopods. The first time around, the blue pigeons and rubber duck isopods, didn't survive in shipping. To make up for it, Jack, the owner of Isopodyssey, resent me - my 10 rubber ducks and 3 temperate white springtail cultures (to replace the blue pigeons).
