So basically these two are two sides of the same coin by dealing with evil doers but who has more of a moral basis? (Actions in the show do not count only the main ideal)

Khonshu believes that evil should be dealt with after the crime has been committed. That when one does a wrong that’s when they get punished.

Amitt believes that evil should be dealt with before the crime has been committed. Killing the one before that crime can be committed.

Basically a well meaning character initially is corrupted or deluded into becoming something horrible and becomes aware of the fact.

Konrad Curze, Warhammer 40K: In his purest form Curze would have been something of a Superman. However mixed with the fact of landing on Gotham city the planet and his future sight showing him the most horrible things imaginable he loses his more noble aspects and chooses to devolve further into sadism and destruction. Tragically he is fully aware and breaks down multiple times when his more noble split personality comes to.

Darth Vader, Star Wars: the embodiment of this trope. Once was a hero of the galaxy, slowly us corrupted until the breaking point becoming lore Vader.

Talos, Warhammer 40K: (can you tell I have a favorite faction in 40K?) was once a child on Nostromo (the Gotham planet Konrad once lived) raised by a loving and caring mother and became a space marine for her with a childlike belief that the space marines were hero’s and saved people. Very quickly finds out that is not the case and delivers the quote above with a sad smile

Say hypothetically after or before the battle of Pellenor fields Gandalf brings Aragorn to Denethor. Denethor starts demanding Aragorns arrest and the citadel guards run in and examine the situation.

Who do they support and what’s their response?
