First major renovation

Hey all,

Not sure if this is the right place to share this but I would like to share that I'm feeling overwhelmed about my first home renovation, if any strangers out there have any advice!

My husband and I are remodeling our home. Basically every room is getting new everything. Paint color, windows, floors, countertops, cabinets etc etc etc. How the fuck do I choose every single thing??? It's not even the actual decision that I find hard --it's the whole not having it already narrowed down to , let's say, three options that are from reputable, ethical companies. I want to only have to choose from three things, not an entire internet full of choices.

And also....Is there some sort of app where I can take a picture of the rooms in my home and digitally change wall colors, floors, countertops, light fixtures etc? Otherwise, I have a really hard time imagining these things in my mind's eye.

And what the hell do I do with all my stuff while the remodel happens? How do I stop it from getting absolutely covered in dust??? What do I do with my cat??? I'm worried about him and the strangers in and out and all the noise.

So if anyone has any helpful hints , please share, I'd really appreciate it! Also happy to share more of the vision of the remodel if people have specific thoughts about lime- washing walls for example, or engineered versus regular hardwood floors. Quartz, granite, or butcher block countertops ?! I DONT KNOWWWWW. Do I need to have a bigass garage sale before it all begins?!? PROBABLY.

The reality of the next few months is setting in and we haven't even really begun yet. Still waiting on a second quote so may the best bid win. I'm just nervous but need to focus on how blessed we are to be able to do this and to enjoy the process as best I can 🙏

TLDR: overwhelmed by home remodel, drop hints here👇👇appreciate it.

Had my first cueing blunder

Funny story...

I was cueing Tadasana / Mountain Pose and was asking students to shift the weight into the heels, then forward into the balls of their feet and toes. Then eventually to find balance through all four corners of each foot. Except when I cued it, I just said "send the weight into the heels. Then, send the weight into the balls." I didn't say "of the feet" and everyone CRACKED up!!! It was a nice moment of levity but also made me blush 🤣
