I’ve got a pup that’s almost a year and a half. Mix breed but mostly shepherd, husky, etc.

We live on a 5 acre rural property with my wife and in-laws and have been here about 8 months. Prior to that we rented a house and we had her about 5 months. It’s perimeter fenced but otherwise a big open space and her and the other dogs spend lots of time outside playing.

Not sure if it’s because she’s still young compared to the other dogs which don’t do this but I often find things outside that she’s chewed or ripped up. She’s ripped up sprinkler heads a few times in some flower beds and vegetable gardens, among other things outside like stakes or decorations wherever she finds them. We’ve had to replace these a few times now. When inside she doesn’t really get into anything.

I’d understand if these were things accidentally left out that she got into but these are things that just exist in their place outside. I think she just sees things sticking out of the ground and wants them. Being outside she doesn’t have eyes on her at all times so she’s never caught in the act to correct but it’s pretty frustrating to walk outside and find another thing she got into and I feel bad when she destroys something that’s not mine.

Just looking to see if anyone has any advice. Like I said our property is essentially wide open with only a few areas around the house where she’s getting into things. Adding some fences around that stuff seems obvious but it’s also not really possible so I’m not sure what to do. Thanks for any advice.
