In the wikipedia it states that it was a part of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in the late 2003.

Somewhere is stated that this picture is from UAE and somewhere somehing about california.

Was this tank ever in Iraq?

The picture where it fires looks awfully lot like the same tank but the number on the back is different (USMC 579767)

vs second pic (USMC 572365) and it looks like it was in a bit better shape so maybe it was taken before this one.

This indicates a W16 engine, maybe the predecessor of the Adder engine?
