Seattle rowing - sweep rower

Hi Everyone! This post is Seattle specific, I am an ex-rower looking to get back into rowing. Currently in my early 30s, the last I rowed was about 6/6.5 years ago.

I was a collegiate rower before rowing at a club in Northern Spain. I did make my way from beginner to placing 3rd at the club national champs in Spain in the 2-, so I am experienced… however my experience is heavy in sweep rowing - I’d be a beginner at sculling as my skill set is very basic, I’ve been in a few sweep boats and a tubby 1x but again this was 5+ years ago.

Height wise I’m at 5’11 and currently ~180lbs. I bought my own rowing machine and did a 30 r20 to see how I can do and just pulled 1:58.3 r19 with a drag of 135 - I guess it’s a bench mark! I’ve been training for marathons so have aerobic fitness.

To cut a long post short, I’m torn between pocock, lake Washington, and lake union rowing clubs. I’m looking for something competitive.

Thanks for the input, apologies for my rambling!
