AI found me an article that states that Vietnam now strictly enforces 6 month passport validity policy across all visa types and border crossings. Does anyone have recent experience on this topic or can anyone point to other more official sources for this policy?

I was going to enter Vietnam from China with soon expiring passport using the e-Visa backdoor. This previously only required 30 days of validity beyond the duration of stay. Now I'm not sure if I should even apply.
