Hi everyone,
I recently came across this 1995 Gibson Les Paul Custom "80th Birthday" Limited Edition (Serial: 91915405).
It’s an Ebony model with all the specific anniversary features:
Engraved pickguard ("Les Paul June 9, 1915" with the "Log" sketch).
"Limited Edition" Truss Rod Cover.
Original brown case with pink plush lining.
I’ve done some initial homework: The electronics are 100% original (unbroken solder joints, original pots/caps), and the hardware has some natural patina but no modifications. It was built in Nashville on July 10, 1995.
I’m trying to decide whether to sell it or hold onto it eventhough i dont really Play it...
My questions for the experts here:
Market Value: What is a realistic "collector price" for this specific edition in 2026? (I see standard 90s Customs, but not many of these 80th Birthday versions).
Appreciation: Does the "80th Birthday" status significantly help with value over time compared to a standard '95 Custom?
Looking forward to your insights!
