What is Bullying like in Indonesia- Girls
I'm in a long-distance relationship with a girl in Indonesia, and there's one topic she really struggles to talk about: her experiences with bullying in school. It's been 13 years since it happened, and it still affects her so deeply that she can't bring herself to discuss it. What surprises me is that she's been open about other traumatic experiences, like how she lost her virginity through sexual assault which resulted in having an abortion at 18, which I understand is a massive ordeal and heavily frowned upon in her culture. So if one can talk about that in great detail than I can't even wrap my head around what happened to her in school.
This has made me more curious about the bullying she faced, and I wonder what it might have been like for others in Indonesia as well. I'm hoping to hear about other people's experiences, especially women, so I can better understand what she went through without directly asking her about it. After doing some research, I have come to find that Bullying Indonesia is an extremely common epidemic compared to the United States. It seems like most of the people I met there were bullied and that is insane to me.
