Budget 2.1 system advice for me (total noob)
Hi all, I am a total beginner looking to upgrade from a cheap tiny bluetooth speaker (JBL charge knockoff).
I’ve been doing some research and found edifier 2.1 setups within my budget, they have a lot of positive feedbacks but apparently it’s not up to proper audio standard according to reddit.
So here I am diving into an audio rabbit-hole.
Basically, I want a 2.1 system, I don’t think i’d ever want to upgrade to 5.1 or any surround sound system, even if/when I do, I’d have to be rich enough by then to not care about the budget anymore. So 2.1 system is good enough for my movie and music from TV (or sometimes laptop) for small-medium size room. I don’t want sound bar because I am pretty sure they don’t provide a good quality bass.
My budget is below £500, I am okay with active speaker setup too if it helps with my budget. I actually prefer active because it’ll save space, I think.

Edit- I would consider going over budget by a few hundred pounds if the upgrade is worth the money.
