Hey everyone,

I’ve been troubleshooting my 1978 DT400e recently and I found it is missing the decompression valve completely. I found the parts for it online and they cost more then I payed for the entire bike.

I want to just plug the hole to get the compression back. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a good way to go about this.

I was thinking about trying different bolt sizes over and over until I get the right size but it’s an aluminum block and I don’t want to shear anything inside.

Any thoughts?
