Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day.

1.) Introduction

I made a post here (about a year or two ago maybe?) with the intention to meet, engage, and play games with people (Adults/18+) who would be interested in being apart of a online and small gaming community that I’m in. I apologize for the somewhat lengthy post but I think it’s really important that I inform you as much as I can if this interests you. This is not a “recruitment or application” post, but rather a gauge of interest or invitation to those who are looking for long term friendships through gaming, chatting, participating in events etc. that would mesh well.

From the first post I did, I received an overwhelming number of responses in DM’s which was unexpected but amazing to see. Ultimately, the result of that post was a success, we managed to meet and include people that blended in well that had the opportunity to game, chat, and hangout long-term. My goal is to continue this because of how great it turned out. In the event this isn’t for you, that’s not a problem either. We had people who were invited but ultimately had difficult hurdles to overcome such as: difficult schedules, time zone differences, shyness, 0 engagement, etc. That’s life though.. and there are no hard feelings at all when these things happen.

To get to the point, I can honestly say that my experiences in gaming are a lot better with friends. It makes me want to share what I have with others, hence why I’m posting this.

I wanted to reach out again and see if the interest was still there for joining the a small gaming community. I will list some information below to help you guys gauge if this may or may not be for you including:: Time Zone, Mannerisms, Group’s Dynamic and History, Side Interests, Games, and Events.

2.) Time Zone & Gaming Platform: We are primarily from North America (probably 99%) who are on the EST time zone. We’re a healthy mix of both Canadians and Americans who play on PC! We get along very well and yes, if you were wondering… we have a lot of jokes between us. **Is that in Fahrenheit or Celsius!?**

3.) Communication: We use Discord voice and text chat quite frequently. Additionally, those who are comfortable with it have each other on social media (Obviously not mandatory).

4.) Community Dynamic / History: I feel this is probably the most important bit to read, as it provides understanding of what type of audience you may want to be apart of.

History: The community has been an online group of friends for a LOOOOONG time. It’s actually mind blowing to me that it started back as early as 2008 from playing World of Warcraft to now the year 2026. From Ventrilo to Skype to Discord, we have hung out to this day together after all these years. On a somewhat regular basis in Discord, we have about 17 people who are active. In Total there’s about a 50 people but obviously not all of them are as active. Some were more active at certain points but had to take a break because of what life demands. The best part about our history is that at some point everyone was new. Overtime, you get comfortable and get to know everyone and eventually become that friend who's been there after all these years.
Ages: We have mixture of both guys and gals who Range between the ages 27-40. As I said at the start of this post, I will not be extending this invitation to people under the ages of 18. Nothing against young people, just the group consists of only adults as our Discord reflects. Sorry youngsters...
Mannerisms: The community has lasted as long as it has for a good reason, we all differ in personality but respect each other at the end of the day. We have people who range from the “loose cannon” or “dark humor” personalities to the light-hearted and gentle individuals. There’s room for people who are vocal and others who prefer to watch and listen instead. First and foremost, we love video games… and lot can happen when you play and hangout with people. Games can be intense, hilarious or even brutal sometimes as you guys are probably aware. We are fairly relaxed and easygoing but also human still. We love to poke fun, play together, banter, laugh, and joke around with each other all the time. At the end of the day it’s all about respect, reading the room and having fun. **If this is something you struggle with, i.e. you’re overly sensitive, have a lot of hatred, or are overly political by any means.. I wouldn’t suggest something like this.** The group can agree to disagree on topics and keep moving forward. There’s nothing wrong with having a discussion about things until it reaches a point where everyone is uncomfortable. We don’t want to have referee things like this; we all just want to have fun at the end of the day.

Activities and Interests: The Group is quite active, almost everyday we are doing something, texting in chat, or are planning to do something. There is in my opinion, always something to look forward to if you share similar interests. Typically, we game between 5pm and 11pm EST during the week days and on the weekends it varies during Saturday and Sunday. As for the discord chat, we chat pretty frequently about anything really. Having said all of this, we are still adults…life requires most of us to work and deal with things outside the community during the day and afternoon for some peeps. Whether it’s text chat, voice comms, or gaming, the discord is still pretty active, but not overwhelmingly so. If you are wondering what specific activities we do together, below are some things that we do:

Gaming: Our primary activity we do on a semi-regular basis. The Gang plays a wide variety of games ranging from: MMO’s, Hero Shooters, Spooky/Horror, Cozy, Survival, MOBA, RPG’s, and Party Game/Friend-Slop stuff.
There are times we like to focus on one or two games for a small time period to meet specific goals. For example, on May 18^(th) 2026, we plan to do a Don’t Starve Together playthrough with the goal to beat all the bosses. Not everyone has to join but the option is there as it takes a while to accomplish this. This would be more of the focus until everyone is satisfied or wanted to move on, but obviously we play things on the side if there are days people are unavailable. In this case we play “filler games” that you can just boot up and play with everyone such as: Marvel Rivals, Slay the Spire, Overcooked, etc. **There is so much stuff to play guys! I will list a bunch of games we play at the bottom of this post, but it will be impossible to cover every single last one of them.**
Party Night: Once a month, bi-monthly or even for birthdays we like to have a party night. The ultimate goal is to let loose, have a beer/drink and play party games such as: Pummel Party, Among Us, Trivia, Draw My Thing/Scribbl.io, Witch it or games that people want to try/suggest.
Movie Night: Once in a Blue moon, If someone has the itch to watch something we plan a day to do so. The last movie I can recall watching as a larger group was King Kong vs Godzilla! But watching something can be anything really, it's whatever someone suggests if the interest is there.
Side Interests: Other than gaming, the guys and gals like things outside of gaming. Some things I can think of off the top of my head are: Sports (Hockey Mainly), Anime, Pets (Dog and Cat Lovers galore), Travelling, Music, Books, Pokemon, (Reading/Audiobooks/Comics) Dungeons and Dragons, and so much more.
Events:
Secret Santa: Once a year, around Christmas time we like to get each other gifts, Webcams on, cozy hot chocolate and good times. (Not mandatory as some people are private) but if your interested, you’re more than welcome.
Monthly Discord Themes: Each month for those who want to participate, we do a “theme” for the discord. For example, during October we do a Halloween Theme: Everyone who wants to participate changes their discord picture and name to match the theme of Halloween. Or during other “non holiday months” it could be something like a Pirate theme, Western Gunslingers, Star Wars etc. In some cases, when we have a party night, we like to have a friendly “wager” and compete in a party games such as Pummel Party or Golf with your friends and the victor then get's their creative juices going and selects the next month’s theme.
In Person Meet Ups: Rare opportunities arise once in a while for this. On the rare occasion when there are events happening somewhere (Music Festival, Sporting Event, Comic-Con, Anime Con etc.) Some of us, not all, have been fortunate enough to meet each other in person at some point at sporting events, comic/anime cons, music festivals, or just passing by on a unrelated trip despite living in different countries**. **If you haven't done this or ever have the opportunity to do so with someone you consider close, I highly suggest doing this as its been one of the most fun things I've done**.**

Survival/Cozy Co-op: 7 Days to Die, Valheim, Don’t Starve Together, Terraria, Grounded, Ark, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Core Keeper, Raft, Overcooked (if you call this cozy lol), Peak
Multiplayer RPG/Turn Based: Baulders Gate 3, Diablo 2 & 4, Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2, For the King, Stolen Realm, Elden Ring, Slay The Spire 2, Monster Hunter, Total War Warhammer. Solasta
Spooky /Horror: Phasmophobia, DEVOUR, R.E.P.O, Labyrinthine, Nuclear Nightmare, Lethal Company
MOBAS: Heros of the Storm, Smite, and a splash of League of Legends from some people.
Party: Scribli,io, Among Us, Pummel Party, Witch it, Golf with your friends, Witch It, Trivia
