Hey all!
I'm in the market for a new phone. My Pixel 4a has served me well these five years, but it is starting to fall apart--literally. The exterior and screen are crumbling.
Before that I had a 2016 iPhone SE, which I loved dearly for its small size and hard-edged exterior. (Never cared for ultra-thin, rounded designs.)
So, I'm looking for a new phone. Or refurbished if it's reputable, I guess. Here are my criteria:
* 3.5mm jack is a *must-have*. Seriously, this is a dealbreaker for me.
* The smaller the better. Hard-edged ("slate?" I think?) form factor is a plus but not mandatory.
* Android OS preferred.
* I don't need anything fancy-- mid range is fine. Other than calling and texting, I mostly just use my phone for light internet browsing, GPS, and taking photos of my cats, so high-end features are wasted on me.
* Current provider is Verizon, if that matters.
Don't get me wrong, I can browse phones myself, but before I do several hours of research and possibly make blunders anyway, I wanted to check in with people who know their stuff a bit more than me. Brands or models to avoid, intricacies of Google vs Samsung, what have you. Everything at Best Buy is gigantic and most of them have no headphone jack anyway. Do I have a fool's hope?
