I ordered a thin black backplate with headphone jack and bezel preinstalled from them and I unfortunately had two issues with this order. First thing I did was look all over their listing to see if they specify what colors they use for headphone jack and bezel, and it didn’t say anything but since the picture showed black that’s what I assumed would arrive like previous orders and it showed up with the silver and white buttons… I ended up just pulling a black one from another iPod to match my customers theme. The next issue was once the iPod was fully assembled I went to take off the protective plastic they shipped it with and it ripped off the black paint…. I was pretty pissed because I was running behind on orders and finishing this one up at 1am. Fortunately I had one more spare thin backplate on hand and got it all swapped over and the build turned out really nice. I reached out to their customer support and hopefully they will be able to be more helpful than when I reached out about the headphone jack and bezel being white and not as pictured… depending on how they respond will decide if I continue ordering from them. Anyways thanks for reading my rant.

I decided to order some usb c boards to replace the 30 pin connectors on some of the iPods that I mod. I think it went pretty well, a little bit tricky getting the right amount of solder for the molex connectors so I may order a stencil with the next batch, especially for the ribbon collector. Heat plate was set to 150C (solder paste melts at 138C) and I used chip Quik solder paste. I’m wondering if I should up the temperature for the solder to connect a little better on the ribbon cable moles connecter?

Hi! My sister had this chick hatch and it cannot walk because its leg and toes are all curled up. At first she thought it was splay leg so we tried some splints, tape, etc but that didn’t seem to help. We have been drop feeding and watering her, and have also given selenium, vitamin E, and electrolytes. She eats decently well when fed, but she can’t walk over to food and water herself. She’s very energetic and vocal, she just doesn’t have the ability to move around and it’s heart breaking. She also doesn’t seem to be growing much — she is 5 days old and her siblings are much bigger than her. My sister has reached out to all the vets in our area and no one is willing/able to take a look, and we desperately want to help this baby.

If you have any advice at all, please comment! We would be so grateful, especially as we are still relatively new to having chickens. Obviously we know there is a chance that we will have to put her down but that is absolutely last resort. My sister views her chickens as pets and they are all very precious to her.
