PSA : Don’t buy from Linglong right now
Ordered an SG64 in November. It’s now May. Seven months in, still nothing shipped. Every time I follow up, he tells me it’s “finally ready”. It never is. I was originally told 20 business days.
Started digging. On the Espresso Aficionados Discord and on RedNote (kinda the Chinese version of instagram), where there are full groups of people waiting on his grinders, I have not seen a single person actually confirm receipt in the past 3 months. Not calling it a scam. But there are dozens, possibly hundreds of buyers in the same situation
For context: I bought the LS64 from him before this. It shipped fast and it’s genuinely an incredible grinder. Build quality, burrs, all of it. Nothing comes close at the price. The only thing in the same league is the Pietro at 3x the cost. That’s why I trusted him, and ordered the SG64
One of the reason that could have caused this is how much coverage he got from being featured in a few Lance Hedrick videos, and I think he got a load of order and production isn’t following up. Obviously not Lance’s fault at all, but just be aware that buying from smaller operations can be more messy.
If you’re considering buying, go in knowing it could take months or even over a year. I still think mine will arrive eventually. But that might be a year from now.
