I have an upcoming hysterectomy and have been trying to gauge when would be a good time to return to work. I know it depends on how I heal, I drive for a living 3/12's M-W. My Dr. says we'll have to see but I am hoping to find some people with experiences to share b/c right now I'm trying to work my butt off to stack up some cash before my downtime and need to have an idea what I'm looking at to try and properly manage my bills. I'm a single Mom of 4 with NO HELP and I'm trying to set myself up here for success. I appreciate your responses. 😊

I've already been really nervous about the surgery (it's in a week & a half) but now after reading some of the stuff on people's experiences with a hysterectomy in general....😱 I have had pre cancerous cells, off & on for about 10 years (abnormal paps) & cervical cancer scares, now they've gotten a little more serious so I'm having the hysterectomy (leaving the ovaries, tubes already removed). Has any of you had a robotic hysterectomy? With all of this AI stuff going on I'm quite uncomfortable with this. (*Spiritually) That kind of has me freaked too but Dr. Says its much better for your healing/recovery. I've also been hearing concerns with the cervix being removed. In my case that's the main focus but I want to know as much as possible about this stuff prior to my surgery. I appreciate the feedback. 🙏🏽🫶🏽
*UPDATE: Thank you everyone. I watched a few videos so I'm aware of how it works pretty much now. I guess I was kind of in my head previously. I think I'm going to try & spend the rest of this time up to the surgery focusing on pre op preparation & care and trying to relax my mind. I appreciate all your help & advice. 😊
