Tourist Visa

Hello, I want to apply for a short stay visa (around 2 weeks) to visit my boyfriend in Germany and I'm going to be applying from Cambodia.

I do not want him to obtain an official guarantee letter as I have a stable job,income, and property in my name. For now, my bank account has around 2.7K USD and might be adding more once my salary is deposited. Will this be a wise choice?

Can my boyfriend just write an unofficial letter stating that I'll be staying at his home ,and I'll cover my own expenses?

Another thing is that I don't have any international travel experience/visas as well. This will be my 1st Schengen visa.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I start. 🥲
