Doctor said I can't get immunotherapy because I have a dog and am also allergic to dogs

I went to an ENT specialist, had a skin prick test and had the same results as my bloodtest: grass-, tree- and weedpollen, dust mite, dogs and cats.

Since last year I have a dog. I have never noticed that I'm allergic to dogs. If I'm around a cat I notice it immediately.

But the ENT specialist said I can't get immunotherapy for ANY allergens as long as I have a dog. Even though I don't seem to react to the dog and wanted to treat the dust mite and pollen allergies.

Did you have the same experience? Or did you get immunotherapy even though you lived with a cat or dog that you were allergic to?

I have a skin prick test on Tuesday and I'm not supposed to take any anti allergy medication for at least four days before the appointment, so I stopped yesterday to be sure (today is Friday). I took desloratadine and had some anti allergy eye drops. I still had symptoms, but they were a bit less than without meds. And now I'm absolutely dreading the coming days and hoping for rain, even though I hate rain. But the weather forecast tells me it's dry the upcoming days.

I am allergic to grass, tree and weed pollen and dust mites (and dogs and cats, but I don't have a cat and I don't think my dog allergies are that bad, because I never noticed anything when I was around dogs. I always noticed it when I was around cats). This came out of a recent bloodtest.

My allergies are more extreme this year than any other year, I feel like. Maybe because I have a new allergy (dust mites) since a couple months. Or maybe the dog allergy is worse than I thought. But my new symptoms (swollen, red, itchy eyelids in the morning) seem more like symptoms from dust mite allergy, says dr Google. My other familiar symptoms are just the classic ones: sneezing a lot, runny/stuffy nose, itchy and watering eyes and sometimes just an itchy face.

I just changed my bed sheets and I have an air purifier on the highest setting. I already always wear sunglasses outside. And I do have to go outside several times a day because I have a dog. What more can I do?

I couldn't find any threads on this. I know several people take two 3mgs together before they move up to 7mg. Can you take 7mg and 3mg together before you move up to 14mg? Has anyone here any experience with this?
