So I've been playing through Vampire the Masquerade Night Road. In it, a big plot point is that the Camerilla is on the ropes between something called The Beckoning calling all the Elders out to the Middle east for some unknown purpose and the Second Inquisition going to town on the vamps.

Which version of WoD (or CoD) is this taking place in? It made me interested in running a game in it, ideally one where the players start out as mortals for the first session before their Embrace/Awakening/Whatever
