I understand why free readings exist, they make tarot accessible and help people learn. But something that doesn’t get talked about enough is how much energy a genuine reading actually takes.

When you’re doing it properly, you’re not just pulling cards and typing a quick answer. You’re sitting with someone’s situation, trying to give clarity, and holding space for them.

That takes time, focus, and emotional effort. That’s why energy exchange matters. Asking for payment or a donation isn’t greedy. It’s a way of keeping the work sustainable and respected. If we’re showing up with care and intention, it’s fair to expect some level of care in return.

I also think the expectation that everything should be free ends up blurring the value of a good reading versus a rushed one and that doesn’t really help anyone in the long run. I’m genuinely curious how others feel about this! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, didn’t think I’d have to say this, but the past few days have been a little heavy. I’ve had multiple people receive full readings from me and then disappear when it came to energy exchange. No reply, no acknowledgment, nothing. And honestly, it does sting.

Tarot isn’t just pulling cards and typing out meanings. It takes time, focus, and emotional energy. When I read for you, I’m genuinely tapping into your energy and holding space for whatever you’re going through. That’s not something I take lightly.

If a reading is donation-based, it’s not about a fixed amount. It’s about showing up with honesty and respect. Even a small contribution matters. But being ghosted after receiving guidance just feels unfair and dismissive.

I’m always here to help, and I truly care about the people I read for. Just please remember there’s a real person on the other side of the screen, giving their time and energy to you.

A little respect and acknowledgment goes a long way. Please always remember that.
