I have some Douglas fir floors that have deep gouges from the previous owners. Eventually we’d like to completely refinish them but at the moment I need a temporary fix for this.

My baby is crawling and I don’t want her to get her fingers in here/get splinters. Additionally they fill up with grime too.

Would epoxy/wood filler be the best choice?
