I'm interviewing for a job that requires security clearance. I lived in Silicon Valley for 3 years during which time I was homeless for about 2 years to save money (lived in my car).

This job would be a life changer but should I assume the homelessness is a disqualifier based on the amount of IRL stigma I get if I tell someone about it.

Also some of that time I was allowed to work remote and lived in random places like Montana and Nevada for fun and because higher quality of life than in SV. Lived in my car the entire time essentially - but I'm worried this would add to the instability factor.

No debt, no history of drug use. I do have an ADHD diagnosis which I used to get an accommodation to "work from home" for a significant portion of that time. Which could contribute to instability ruling.
