My parent has a B1/B2 US biometric appointment at the Mumbai consulate on Monday, and we just realized the DS-160 was apparently never fully submitted. The old DS-160 confirmation page cannot be retrieved anymore and gives “invalid input” when trying to access it.

We are planning to fill out a new DS-160 immediately, but I’m confused about how to connect the new DS-160 number to the existing appointment.

Questions:

• Can the DS-160 number be updated somewhere in the appointment portal? If yes, where exactly?
• If not, can they update it during the biometric/OFC appointment?
• Has anyone gone through this recently in India?

Trying to avoid losing the appointment slot and appointment fee money. Any advice would really help.
