Good afternoon, I just want to give people a heads up that they are installing an average speed zone on the A6 as you read this, the zone appears to run from Heaton moor Road right into the centre of Stockport.

They are still going so the zone may continue through the centre and up towards hazel grove in the coming days, look out for the bright yellow cameras on the lampposts if you drive by.

I’m not sure when it comes into effect but they are starting to put the signs up, so just be careful, not that you should be speeding anyway but if you are someone who does that then hopefully this will give you a chance to avoid future tickets!
