Appearance and Personality:

Despite his usually calm behaviour and being a man of few words, Minamoto no Yoriie has a way of speaking that feels like he's on the verge of lashing out.

He holds deep resentment and hatred, anger born off his past life which he holds close.

He judges people with the code of the samurai, if he sees mediocre sorcerers or sloppy techniques he never hesitates to call them out.

He's very tall and has mostly muscle, giving him a strong yet lanky build.

His skin is orange and his eyes are flaming with cursed energy.

He has little patience and hates conversating.

Despite being a cursed spirit, he is not fond of other curses spirits.

Backstory:

Minamoto no Yoritomo was Japan's first shogun, an infamous military leader who founded the Kamakura Shogunate.

The leader of a newly made type of goverment, and the biggest army japan had ever seen.

However, Yoritomo saw the vengeful spirit of his brother Yoshitsune, whose death he was responsible for.

Yoshitsune pushed his brother hard off his horse with a strong attack that left fatal wounds on the shogun.

Yoritomo's son, Minamoto no Yoriie, fell ill during his reign as the new shogun following his father's death, his mother's family, The Hojo Clan, decided to take power by pulling the strings behind closed doors.

Before he could even get up from his bed, his grandfather had been given emergency powers.

Before Yoriie could even protest was exiled away to a castle, he was thrown in house arrest where he spent writing and meditating until his assassination took place.

The responsible for this was his maternal grandfather, Hojo Tokimasa, he had sworn to take revenge on The Hojo Clan for trying to overthrow him.

Before dying, it deeply hurt him to see his mother take over his father's empire without much regards for his well being or his father's, he fell into a deep paranoia and started to believe his mom had orchestrated an assassination attempt against his father.

He felt betrayed.

How could he perish in such way after surviving wars and assassination attempts all his life ?

They had taken control of the empire his father had built, and so was born a vengeful spirit.

Yoriie's hatred was big, and so was his desire for vengeance.

He was not gonna let this slide.

He dedicated his entire existence to hunting down his mother, his grandfather, and all of the hojo clan in a rampage aiming to destroy their entire bloodline to avenge himself and his father before him.

Despite Minamoto no Yorimoto not being a virtuous man who went as far as to killing his own brother, Yoriie thought his father's memory was worth avenging.

The Hojo Clan however, hired multiple jujutsu sorcerers to protect them, they held strong political relations with the Sugawara clan as well as the Shadow Style School.

He never knew the true cause of Yorimoto's death.

He eventually killed the people whom he desired, but the clans collaborating with said corruption lived on.

After wandering through Japan for years he decided to rest stationary atop of the tallest mountains in Hokkaido.

He killed plenty of strong sorcerers but avoided the strongest of the edo period, for even he knew his limits.

But for now....he rests.

His CE is sharp, what would be a normal blunt attack leaves cuts behind, the cuts become deeper the more CE is applied to his attacks.

Cursed Technique: War Ensemble

"War Ensemble is a cursed technique that lets the user create blades/cursed tools from any exorcized curse or slain sorcerers as well as their own body"

The things to consider are:

The Target to transform, the Target's CE reserves, and the type of weapon to make from the target.

This is not the same as Yorozu's construction because it requires an exorcized curse or a slain sorcerer.

While Yoriie can create almost any sort of weapon, the more complex it is the harder it is for him to create it, it also costs more CE.

This is why he usually sticks to creating simple close range weapons instead of modern day firearms or mechanisms he does not understand.

He can create curses tools capable of bypassing cursed techniques or dealing soul damage if the target used is strong enough or has the required CE reserves.

To create a weapon capable of soul damage, instead of creating the weapon from simple cursed energy dragged from the dead bodies, he must instead engrave the soul of a sorcerer into the blade turning them into a Cursed Object similar to Sukuna's Fingers, this costs way more CE than normal weapons.

Soul Weapons:

weapons with sorcerer's souls engraved in them tend to have a will of their own, moving by themselves, telepathically speaking to the user, commanding them to do certain things, sometimes wielding them grants memories of the soul locked inside.

However, Yoriie has grown immune to this, his weapons don't dare to protest as long as he has enough CE to overthrow their will.

When a sorcerer with massive strength such as Sukuna or Satoru Gojo are turned into a weapon, their soul has to be split into multiple weapons, this means that to create weapons from them means to create a whole kit.

For example: a cursed tool kit of 20 different types of cleave weapons and knives that have sukuna's soul engraved in them.

Engraved Techniques:

when a weapon kit that holds the soul of a strong sorcerer/cursed spirit has been used for long enough, their cursed techniques start enabling themselves through the weapon and become usable.

This has key differences from Yuta's copy technique, for starters, the technique is exclusively channeled through the weapon kits, extension techniques are often channeled in different weapons from the same kit.

For example: Yoriie created a weapon kit from Satoru Gojo's soul, but each application of limitless needs a different weapon, red is engraved in a katana, blue in a kusarigama etc.

However, Yoriie cannot use the domain of these techniques, nor is there a limited time for the usage of these copied techniques.

He has to learn these techniques from scratch though, and the preconceived methods to do so are also mostly useless since the techniques have to be applied using the weapons in specific ways.

Some techniques that are incompatible cannot be copied, things like yorozu's construction for example.

The downside comes with these weapons consuming lots of CE so they can be kept tamed, as mentioned earlier, they have autonomy, so he has to fight the will of the soul engraved in said weapon.

If the soul of an exceptionally strong sorcerer is kept in it, then it's even harder to do so.

Phantom Memory:

Yoriie can willingly let a weapon gain partial autonomy, letting it guide his movements the way the soul engraved in it would, if he wields one with a expert swordman's soul then the blade will guide him as if it was muscle memory.

This only happens when the weapon and the user agreed to collaborate.

Binding Vow (Destroy The Opposition):

This binding vow was a high stakes tradeoff which states that if Yoriie uses his powers against anyone who hasn't wronged him, he will be exorcized immediately, in exchange, if he attacks people belonging or collaborating with families who have wronged him he achieves a massive buff in CE reserves and Output.

This was the vow he made to hunt down his own clan.

Domain Expansion: Weeping Battlefield of the Moonless Sky.

Appearance: a large battlefield of tattered banners and dead samurai by multiple burnt structures.

The fires are the only sources of light in this place.

Sure hit effect: Yoriie can freely manipulate any of his weapons to their maximum efficiency and create new ones from the enemies severed body parts.

Any cursed tool that the enemy has in their power will automatically be confiscated by Yoriie, flying from the original wielder's hands to it's new owner.

The weapons in this domain gain the ability to fly around Yoriie and attack even if he is not wielding them.

Extra Technique Arsenal:

1. Hollow wicker basket: Minamoto no Yoriie was alive for quite a while, and since this is one of the OG Learnable Techniques he added it to his arsenal.

2. Domain Amplification: another classic learnable technique he acquired.

3. Simple Domain: even though he learned the HWB, he eventually switched up to the simple domain which he learned by creeping on the new shadow style school which was heavily involved with his enemies as well as seeing it in person, Yoriie was quite a fast learner.

He adapted it in pretty much the same way Kusakabe did so he could pair it with his expert swordmanship.

4. Black Flash: he landed quite a few in his time.

Combat Style: he lived for long, so he's naturally an expert swordsman, but he also has mastered every existent weapon save for tools of modern warfare.

He focuses on fighting with the katana, kusarigama, naginata, or even bows and arrows.

Sometimes using axes, hammers or halberds though very rarely.

However, he can be quite deadly on hand to hand combat due to his great strength and CE reserves.

He gave up on honor, if he's being attacked then he will do as much as possible to not only win, but to turn his opponent into a weapon.
