I want to love this campaign. I have been a hardcore Critical Role Fan since viewing my first episode. I was Immediately drawn in and felt immersed in the stories. I watch Dimension20 and absolutely love BLeeM's brand of DMing. But for the life of me I cannot get into this new campaign. I cannot keep along with the story and often find myself asking? "What happened? Why are we here? Who is this character? What is the point of this interaction? Why do we care?"
I have always been able to pick up where I left off in a show, book or game and remember exactly what I read, what I was doing or where I am supposed to go. Not here. Not anymore. Not this campaign.
If I don't force myself to pay attention to the screen I have no fucking clue what is going on.
My question.....Does it get better? Does it begin to make any lick of sense? Do we get some actual D&D or is it just ongoing exposition from BLeeM with the occasional chime in from the "players"?
