Hello Everyone, I come from a family background where we dint have any specific family name. From a very young age I had wanted to change this for my family going forward . Using my dad's name as a family name going forward. After 20 years Now we are expecting a child in germany. Issue is my dad's name is not my surname but I had been unofficially using it. I want to keep my dad's name as official surname/family name for my new born but I recently got to know that it we are to try to for german passports and citizienships and my son's surname is different than my surname it will create a big issue..does anyone have any experience in this regards ? Any work around on this ?
