Does H1B visa rescheduling work halfway?(India)
Hello all.
Apologies for the vague title, couldn't come up with something better, but my question is pretty clear:
I have a visa appointment for H1B(India) already booked both VAC and Consular in the same month for 2027. I am thinking of rescheduling it to something in 2026, given the flood of slots that are opening.
However, seeing how the portal isn't what you would call "stable", I am worried that if I go on to reschedule my appointments and it times out say, after I pressed submit for the VAC slot and went to the consular page and couldn't book the consular slot.
Would it rollback to my original VAC date? Or keep the new VAC date?
I have seen that if you are "scheduling" the appointments for the first time and you booked VAC and couldn't book consular for various reasons, the vac confirmation disappears after a certain period of time.
Does that affect rescheduling as well? Will it go back to my old vac appointment, or keep the current new vac appointment?
