Quería compartir mi caso en KDP porque estoy bastante frustrado y no sé si a alguien más le ha pasado algo parecido.

Publiqué un libro titulado:

“RELATOS CORTOS PARA PERSONAS MAYORES: Un viaje por la España de Antes para Estimular la memoria, la mente y los recuerdos | Letra Grande, Lectura Fácil y Nostálgica”

ID: PRI-4CZBVG406QS

Al principio el libro fue revisado y aprobado por Amazon sin problema. Estuvo a la venta durante un tiempo.

Más adelante, Amazon lo bloqueó diciendo que el título podía ser similar a otro libro y que podía “confundir a los clientes”.

Aquí viene el problema grande:

👉 El libro estuvo bloqueado durante unos 5 meses

👉 Durante ese tiempo NO podía editarlo, ni cambiar el título, ni eliminarlo

👉 Me puse en contacto varias veces con soporte preguntando cómo solucionarlo

👉 Nunca me dieron una solución clara para poder corregirlo

Mi intención desde el primer momento fue cambiar el título o eliminar el libro, pero era imposible porque estaba bloqueado.

Además, durante todo ese tiempo el libro NO estaba a la venta, por lo que no podía afectar a ningún cliente.

Hace poco volví a contactar con ellos para intentar solucionar el problema, y en lugar de darme una opción, directamente me cerraron la cuenta de forma permanente por ese mismo libro.

Ahora me dicen que:

El título es similar a otro libro

Puede ser “metadata engañosa”

Y mantienen la decisión de cerrar la cuenta

Lo que más me sorprende es que:

Es el único problema que he tenido

El contenido del libro es 100% original

Nunca intenté copiar a nadie

Desde el primer momento intenté solucionarlo

El libro que dicen que es similar es de mi mismo nicho (memoria para personas mayores), donde muchos títulos se parecen bastante porque usan palabras clave similares.

Incluso viendo ese otro libro, tiene bastantes reseñas negativas diciendo que no cumple lo que promete, lo cual me hace pensar que el problema aquí no es tan claro como parece.

I’m posting here because I’m honestly confused and trying to understand if this situation is normal or if anyone has experienced something similar.

I recently lost access to my KDP account due to what Amazon described as “similarity” with another book (mainly related to title/metadata potentially causing confusion). The book is in a common niche (short stories for older people), so yes, there are similarities in theme and keywords, but the content is 100% original and written by me.

A few important points about my situation:

I had no prior warnings at all. This was the first time anything like this happened.

The issue seems to be mainly about the title/positioning, not plagiarism or copied content.

My cover was completely different — we only shared the same niche and some keywords because the idea of the book is similar.

The other book they’re referencing was not even available anymore (it had been blocked a long time ago).

As soon as I realized there might be an issue, I tried to fix it and make changes, but I still lost access to the account.

I’ve already sent an appeal explaining everything and that there was no intention to mislead or copy.

From my perspective, it feels like this might be a very strict or possibly automated decision, especially since there was no previous warning or opportunity to properly fix the issue beforehand.

I’m trying to stay calm and handle this the right way, but I’d really appreciate hearing from others:

Has anyone experienced something similar with “similarity” issues?

Were you able to recover your account?

Any advice on how to improve the appeal or what worked for you?
