I just adopted two kitties with a house that I bought (previous owner passed away). We’ve been coming out to visit them for a little over a month but last night was our first time staying overnight with them. Both kitties are female, 9 or 10 years old, I believe they’re spayed). They are both larger polydactyl girls.

We had the house professionally cleaned by a cleaner who knew there were cats and has cats herself (I know that doesn’t mean she knows everything but weight that as you will). The cleaning was two days ago during the day and some time after 10pm that night one or both kitties threw up and we found around 15 piles last night. We‘ve been able to keep an eye on them overnight and one kitty threw up two more piles a couple hours ago. Their behavior seems otherwise normal and they have an appetite and are drinking water. One kitty has now had a bowel movement (there was almost only urine in the cat box when we showed up last night).

Kitty who has had a bowel movement has an overgrown nail, but the other kitty has confirmed thrown up so I figured the nail could wait until my clippers come in.

I don’t have a cat carrier yet and I’m supposed to work tomorrow, so I’m hoping vet can wait until next week, but obviously I will make it work if this is an emergency.

Thank you!
