[USA] [AZ] Residential Arrest in Flagstaff

Saw this last night. Passenger I was collecting said the dude had been running around shouting unintelligible noises. It was grad night for NAU but I don't know if there is a connection, dude doesn't "look" college aged but anyone adult can attend.

Also, yeah. The music is normal human music. I don't subject passengers to my personal tastes xD

I needed to get from 89A onto 179, but the right-turn lane was heavily backed up. Instead of waiting in that "queue", I stayed in the left lane, went around the larger roundabout, and entered 179 from the opposite side of the circle.

In this clip it let me get past about 20 cars. I don’t think it’s obviously illegal, but I can see why some people might think it’s "cheating"...

What do you think?

Also, the thumping sound is just my phone falling off the dash. XD

This was in Phoenix, where apparently this sort of thing isn't uncommon. I'm from Sedona, and I don't recall ever experiencing something like this before.

...unless I'm missing something. Phoenix does have weird intersection rules in some places. You can only turn certain directions during certain times a day, or certain lanes have multiple functions depending on what day it is, so I don't know maybe I'm just missing something. Or maybe this dude turned left against the red light because red doesn't mean the same thing in Phoenix. I don't know man!

Awwww. Are these geese? Ducks! I don't know. But the last one to cross left a reddit comment live on cam xD

I feel like the camera doesn't do it justice. Probably because of the wide angle. He just barelyyyy made that work but, kudos to him, it did work.

It looks like the driver misjudged the distance, although it wouldn't have been acceptable to go the wrong way against traffic even just between two immediate driveways, it becomes much riskier when you are now going multiple lengths to get to that correct driveway. Everything turned out okay, but is it really worth it? So little to gain, and so much you're risking...

Since so many people we talking about the dashboard of the worker van in my last post, I thought y'all might find this clip interesting. I noticed it from yesterday's run, she's got a ton of stuff up and she's FaceTime calling someone while driving xD

I really don't get the logic? Yeah, the speed limit on this road is 50 mph and I'm maybe going 35... but this is also a twisty, winding portion of the road with those yellow signs suggesting 35 mph, you can see in the video my camera is vibrating which, I guess you don't have a baseline of comparison if you don't watch my other videos, but that's not normal. I'm already taking the curve about a fast as I ought to be.

And it's not even like it's just me, there's a car immediately ahead of me. Not like, bumper to bumper. I suppose I could get a little closer if I eliminated the protective buffer. But I can't meaningfully go faster for any meaningful length of time, while traffic is ahead of me. The most I could do is remove my own protective buffer. Even with the curves in the road it goes both ways, there's no way for the full 30 seconds he couldn't see another car ahead of me?

So there's nowhere to go! And a passing lane coming up when things straighten out in like half a mile. And now your business name is on this video that like a few thousand people might see on Reddit. And probably none of them live in the state, and none of them will care to do anything about it. But you never know. It's just stupid. If you make a habit of it, eventually some clip is going to get more attention. Not a good look. And not safe.

Fortunately it seems like nobody was injured. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record the actual collision. Not like, I want anyone to collide. But if it's going to happen, it would be cool to get the actual collision on video... at least this looks clear enough. I got the first responding cop, at least! 🥺
