Hi all
I am hesitating between 2 different roles;my current one and a new one just offered:
To give some background, I am currently living in Spain. Not Madrid or Barcelona but one of the main cities.
**Current role:**
Procurement (3Y working for my company)
Pay is good, although I asked for a raise 1 year ago cause at that moment work was super demanding, intense in travelling to suppliers out of the country and even +10h working hours a day during weeks during peak season. My demand was rejected (not in the best terms tbh). Overall anyway work environment is very good, colleagues are awesome, just 15-20 minutes commuting a day by car and is one of the strongest companies in my country. Expectations are good in the long term but not in the medium term, nor in responsibilities nor salary.
Currently doing 33k which is above usual salary for my age, maybe not for my background cause I had previous experience on other company and masters degree, as well as languages in my toolkit.
1 remote working a day voluntary, which to be fair I took maybe 5 last year, not a huge fan in my case
**New Role offered**
Supplier cost analyst
By far a smaller company overall, but still one of the biggest in my area (vs my current company just in my area; easily top 20 companies vs my current one which would be top 5).
Wage jump is big, +20% extra (40K- ish)
New company is out of my usual sector (new one is automotive sector).
Problem is that company I am hesitating to move had not the best results last year, so is more unstable clearly, but still solid enough as it is one of the biggest in my area.
Prerequisite to travel all the weeks, usually Monday to Wednesday to supplier (not a big deal, as I was doing this for a lot of months in my current company) and no remote working (no big deal at all, but new company is 40 mins far away, but company bus is offered for free)
Is it worth to go for it? I know in the long term (3 years or sthg) new possibilities and opportunities might come, but at least now I do not see any chance of promoting)
Any advice and recommendations?
Thanks
