Total budget: Around R$7,000, but I can go a little above if it is really worth it.

Are you open to refurbs/used? Preferably new, but I am open to refurbished if it has warranty and is a very good deal.

How would you prioritize form factor, build quality, performance, and battery life? I need a good balance. Portability matters because I will carry it around, but I also need solid performance for work, multitasking and light/medium video editing.

How important is weight and thinness to you? Important, but not my only priority. I prefer something portable, but I can accept a heavier laptop if the performance and value are much better.

Do you have a preferred screen size? 14" to 16". A 16" screen would be nice for productivity, but 14" is also fine if the laptop is lighter and better overall.

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I will use Microsoft Office, Chrome with many tabs, marketing tools, Meta Ads, CapCut for light/medium video editing, Firebase, FlutterFlow, and possibly Android Studio.

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Gaming is not a priority.

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices? Good keyboard, decent screen for long work sessions, USB-A, USB-C and HDMI would be useful. I prefer Windows already installed.

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I am looking for a laptop for work and for the early stage of new business projects. I want to avoid a weak or very limited laptop. Ideally, I would like at least 16 GB of RAM, preferably upgradeable, and at least a 512 GB SSD, preferably 1 TB or expandable storage. I do not necessarily need a gaming laptop, but I am open to one if it offers better performance and value. My priority is the best balance between portability, performance, upgrade options and long-term durability.
