I just randomly remembered reading a book like this and it’s driving me insane!

One MC has two (?) kids. The younger one stopped talking after some kind of trauma and just doesn’t talk at all for most of the book. There’s themes of healing etc with the romance and from what I remember, the child starts talking again by the end.

This is literally all I (vaguely) remember.
