The democratic and republican parties should be disbanded.
These parties are not what they used to be but that’s not the issue. The problem lies with the hivemind-like followers. Of course not everyone is like that however it seems that majority of people on either side don’t really have their own view points. It’s all about affiliation. Where’s the individual? Where are the actual opinions of that human being? If you even claim to be one or the other you are immediately labeled the “enemy” without discussion. Call it denial but I refuse to believe all these people just solely agree with just one side of the political divide. Take away these parties and let us debate as individuals. There’s nothing more I can’t stand than someone who will do nothing but follow someone else’s beliefs with no regards to their own. We need to open our eyes and use some more brain power to understand and find solutions to these challenges and problems our nation has instead of fighting each other because one claims or be red or blue
I do understand these parties exist for a reason in our country and probably a little because it’s easier to pick from 2 sides than hundreds or thousands however I think both the people and their beliefs are starting to become too much of the same thing. It feels like we’d rather kill each other for affiliations than actually solve our problems.
