Trachea hypermobility?
I (25F) have had hypermobility ever since I can remember. It started out as hypermobile fingers and then progressed to my hips, shoulder blades, and neck.
Within the past year, I’ve noticed that occasionally my trachea feels like it’s out of place, especially when I’m laying down. It feels like it’s ’falling’ to whatever side I’m laying on. It’s the most uncomfortable feeling.
I’ve started putting pillows/stuffed animals under my trachea to support it and keep it in place, which helps a bit.
It doesn’t happen all the time, which makes me wonder if hormonal cycles have anything to do with it. I saw a research article about how hormone cycles can affect hypermobility.
Does anyone else have this experience, or any recommendations?
