I have been collecting and selling vintage clothing for over 10 years now. It's my full time gig.
I came across the Benrus at a yard sale two weeks ago for $2 and it led me down the vintage watch rabbit hole. After finding and selling some really high end vintage clothing pieces over the years, it's become a bit mundane. Everybody and their cousin sells vintage clothing now and the "game" is way less fun and exciting than it used to be. Vintage watches are a refreshing niche for me to learn about.
These are the first 3 "decent" finds I've come across in the 2 weeks since finding the Benrus. I am invested less than $25 in the three watches here, and $14 of it was spent on the Benrus strap. Really looking forward to learning more and finding something insane this yard sale season. Some of the stuff that gets posted here is mind blowing.
What sort of strap do you all think would look nice on the automatic timex? The honeycomb one is sweet but the gold tone is completely gone and it looks like crap.
Anyways, thanks for reading and happy collecting!
