Is the creami the best machine for my situation?

I've had a Cuisinart machine with the frozen bowl for years but the lid got warped in the dishwasher so I'm looking into other options. I like simple recipes - cream, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla/cocoa. Also open to some fruit options (simply fruit, water and maybe a bit of sugar) but no need for all the protein/gums. Would really like to have no plastic so I saw there are stainless bowl available on Amazon, although not brand name. Would this be the best machine for me to get or are there other options? We have a smallish kitchen so nothing too big.

I have a 14 year old that is wanting to fit in with everyone stick-wise but we just can't justify spending $250-400 on a stick. Are there any good budget sticks for a 5'8" 120 lb mid-level player? Something name brand would be ideal but we've done the smaller companies before (Bison, Twig), and I just know he'll give us pushback.
