I have a really bad stutter where I don’t just repeat words — sometimes I fully block and go completely silent for seconds or completely because the word literally won’t come out. It happens on simple words too, even saying my own name or reading out loud.

I’m trying to find people who deal with the same thing and what helped them. Any tips, experiences, or advice would honestly mean a lot.

it’s literally every word, every situation. i did have bad anxiety growing up a lot better now i dont fear people but i fear the stutter so i avoid people. like in EVERY situation around family where i have no anxiety most comfortable saying thank you or i love you or hi or my name anything sometimes it will come out but its like a block where its like stuck but i know what to say.

(it’s gotten to the point where its affecting me and people around me because i don’t reach out or answer phone calls because its mainly me struggling to speak. not sure how long i can deal with this but we’ll see.)
