Confirmation: RollerAds Traffic is Mostly Fake/Bot — Burned My Budget

I want to share my experience with RollerAds and confirm what others have suspected: they are selling mostly fake traffic. I checked Trustpilot reviews and even watched a review on YouTube, which made me 1000% sure that the traffic I received was bot-driven.

Here’s my experience:

  • I ran ads on RollerAds on a fully optimized conversion funnel:
    • ~99% speed optimized
    • Loads in under 1 second
    • Minimal, conversion-focused design
    • Built as a proper funnel, not just a landing page
  • Tracking setup: Google Analytics + Microsoft Clarity

What I observed:

  • Over 70% of sessions lasted under 2 seconds
  • Almost no scrolling or interaction
  • No real engagement or conversions
  • Clarity recordings mostly showed instant bounces
  • Even after stopping campaigns, similar traffic briefly continued

Support asked for raw click logs (IP, user agent, click ID, zone ID), which I don’t use — I rely only on GA and Clarity. Their explanations about tracking differences didn’t change what I observed: behavior still looked very suspicious.

I also noticed a $50 deposit bonus, which seems like a tactic to lure advertisers into spending more despite bot traffic.

Conclusion:
The traffic I received was almost entirely non-human. My $50 budget was wasted.

Questions for the community:

  • Has anyone else experienced bot traffic from RollerAds?
  • What ad networks actually provide real engagement and conversions?

TL;DR: RollerAds seems to be a fraudulent platform selling bot traffic. Buyer beware.

I want to share my experience and also ask others what they think.

I ran ads on RollerAds and honestly I’m quite frustrated with the results.

My setup is not a normal website — it’s a fully optimized conversion funnel:

  • ~99% speed optimized
  • Loads in under 1 second
  • Minimal design, purely conversion-focused
  • Built as a proper funnel, not just a landing page

I tracked everything using:

  • Google Analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity

What I observed:

  • A very high percentage of sessions lasting 1–2 seconds
  • Almost no scrolling or interaction
  • No real engagement or conversions
  • Even after stopping campaigns, similar traffic patterns briefly continued

In Clarity recordings, it mostly looks like instant bounces with no real user behavior.

Support asked me for very specific raw click logs (IP, user agent, click ID, zone ID, etc.), which I currently don’t have in my setup. I only use GA and Clarity.

They also mentioned their system and tracking differences, but from my side the behavior still looks very unusual.

I also noticed a $50 deposit bonus offer, which made me wonder if anyone else has had similar experiences.

I’m not saying anything definitively, but right now it feels like suspicious or non-human traffic based on behavior patterns.

I’m posting here to ask:

  • Has anyone else seen similar results with RollerAds?
  • What ad networks actually give you real engagement and conversions?

I received an invite on Upwork, but instead of showing up in my messages, it went into the “submitted proposals” section. I think there might be an option on the client’s side where they can choose whether invited freelancers appear in messages or only in the proposal section, where they review proposals and reply from there.

Based on my observations from two recent contracts over a 33-day period, Upwork appears to be generating around 140K contracts, which suggests a daily average of roughly 4.5K.

About two years ago, when I was actively working on Upwork, I conducted a similar analysis and found that there were around 100K contracts per day. Now, after two years, that number has dropped significantly to less than 4.5K per day.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was inactive for about 1.5 years and recently rejoined Upwork. Despite boosting 61 proposals, I only secured two jobs worth $150. People mocked me, saying my English isn’t good and that my proposals must be just as weak. Some even said I should quit so there’s less competition for them.

But today, I’m here with real data. If anyone needs proof, I can provide it—but I’d rather you analyze it yourselves using your first and second contract IDs.

When I said the work has declined, some people brought up last year’s reports claiming freelancers earned $4 billion. But compare the numbers: two years ago, there were around 100K contracts per day; today, it’s under 4.5K.

I’d also like you to share your own data—how many proposals you sent in the last 10 days, and how many jobs you secured.

I’m confident that many of those criticizing me are relying on ongoing hourly jobs and are barely applying to new ones.

Some say it’s due to global issues like war—but does that mean businesses stop operating? Do people stop spending altogether?

I personally spent $257 on connects, which was a big investment for me. If I had used that money elsewhere, like in advertising, I could have easily made double the return.

I’m starting a new project and will share more details soon. Until then, I encourage you all to analyze the situation yourselves.

Many of you might still be blaming your proposals or thinking you applied to the wrong jobs—but the reality is that Upwork has declined significantly. The contract ratio has dropped massively, and it seems like fake jobs are being used to generate revenue through freelancers’ connects.

I saved 55 jobs over 5 days to analyze the success rate of Upwork posts. After 5 days, only 5 jobs had been hired, 4 were canceled, and the rest are still inactive. No one can say whether clients will hire over the weekend. I’ve applied to 60+ jobs, and about 95% are still open—even after nearly 2 weeks (around 15 days).

i applied almost more then 60 jobs but baerly one job i closed the client in any urgency i think thats why i got that job. i spent $257 to get one job and the other job were from my recent work some adjustments.

i sent proposal using boost bid and all of them are still open jobs, I gues bassed on my anaylsis around 10% hire rate of the Upwork posts. if someone 100% perfect then he can hope will get 5 to 6 jobs BC 1% cases they hire previous hiries and another 1% hire from invites so if someone apply with 100% accuracy and they all the clients are waiting his proposals then he will get that 5 to 6 job after apllying to 100 jobs.

its almost dead and i got know when I was applying to a job a few days before and took a bit longer to write my proposal. By the time I was ready, the required connects had increased from 15 to 19.

freelancers are beating their compitator but in this way the upwork filling his pockts silent from the freelancers connetcs purchasing money

Upwork in 2026 feels completely Dead. Every day new job posts are coming in, but the hiring rate is almost zero. Clients keep posting jobs, collecting proposals, and then disappearing without any decision. Freelancers are just burning connects with no real return. There is activity on the platform, but no actual hiring—just an illusion of opportunities with no results behind it.
