Books Centered on the Perspective of a Harem Member?
So I was doing my daily romance novel idea pondering and imagined something I wonder about the existence of: a reverse harem novel told entirely from the perspective of one member of the harem, not the FMC or MMC at the center of the harem.
Every harem/reverse harem novel I've ever seen is catered to some male/female fantasy of being at the center of a "why choose" sort of romance, but could a novel ever be written from solely the perspective of the 'chosen'? This would mean one MMC in a reverse harem or one FMC in a trad harem being the story's main perspective, even for the length of an entire series.
It's just conceptually such an interesting idea to me: what would a harem look like if it only told the story of the characters who are usually the objects of the genre's fantasies? Does this exist?
